In our previous article, we talked about the residence permit for study and the residence permit for internship purposes, and now we will cover here the Hungarian Card, as well as the National Card, the later introduced for Serbian and Ukrainian citizens.

In the last month of 2023, the Hungarian Parliament adopted a completely new immigration law. The Hungarian Government originally planned last stummer only one amendment to the law regarding guest workers, then later – last autumn – this guest worker law was withdrawn and a completely new immigration law was adopted with the speed of light, which after more than 15 years puts the immigration rules in Hungary on a completely new basis. A lot of people contact us and ask about the important changes. So, below, we try to cover some of the most important issues.
