Criminal Defence

criminal law

We have been dealing with criminal cases, representing both the defence and the plaintiff in equal measure, since the establishment of the office. To be perfectly honest, as a lawyer, dealing with criminal cases has always held a very special place in my heart. I consider the role of the lawyer in criminal cases, and in particular the role of the defence counsel, to be the pinnacle of the legal profession.

It is a basic principle of our office that we neither judge nor condemn anybody. We strongly believe that anyone can become the perpetrator of a crime, either by accident or design, but the perpetrator of a crime does not automatically become a criminal (you only have to consider cases of negligence, such as causing a road accident), and being a criminal doesn’t necessarily make someone a bad person.

Typical cases we represent

The most significant types of case in which our office is experienced in representing both the defendant and the plaintiff are as follows:

  • Criminal cases involving road traffic. In this case, we deal primarily with the representation of defendants and suspects accused of causing road traffic accidents, but my office also provides legal assistance and guidance to the victims of traffic accidents and accidents at work.
  • Crimes against property. Criminal proceedings instigated in particular for fraud, theft, embezzlement, dishonest and negligent behaviour.
  • Criminal proceedings instigated for corruption (bribery, acceptance of bribery, bribery of officials), as well as money laundering and financial fraud.
  • Cases involving the forgery of official documents.
  • Less serious criminal cases. Delinquency, defamation, libel, harassment, trespass, petty offences.
