In the last month of 2023, the Hungarian Parliament adopted a completely new immigration law. The Hungarian Government originally planned last stummer only one amendment to the law regarding guest workers, then later – last autumn – this guest worker law was withdrawn and a completely new immigration law was adopted with the speed of light, which after more than 15 years puts the immigration rules in Hungary on a completely new basis.
